I started brewing in 2009. After brewing a few kits, I started looking for all-grain recipes, but have developed my own recipes too. I also enjoy developing recipe names and massaging Google images to fit those recipes names.

Cloned from Ctorx who said to not forget trub loss of 0.65 gallon. Recipe change to Marris Otter and 1# Cara 45.
Substituting Willamette for the Fuggle. Secondary will be in a whisky barrel. And into the barrel he goes on 9/20 @ 1.014 FG
Into secondary on 8/18. FG 1.013

Only had 1/2# oats (1#) and no carapils (0.5#) on hand for this session.
Increase efficiency in recipe to 71% to match the OG taken after boil.
31 deg at start.
Pitched S-05 at 3 pm 11/8 and noticed activity at 9 am 11/9.
Lid off after boil started.

BRY-97 started fermentation by day 2 and continued pushing CO2 through the airlock for 5 days.
Yeast was pitched to Speidel Plastic Fermenter - 30L (7.9 gal) (Christmas gift). Having 4.5 gal wort in this fermentor would not show CO2 escaping through airlock for 3 days. However, krausen formed nicely around the entire vessel and the sediment was smooth. The beer was transferred directly to a 5 gal corny keg on 1/14/14 with about 1/2 gallon head space. CO2 was supplied at 25 psi, then burped to release any oxygen. CO2 was added again and the keg was agitated for 1-2 minutes to ...
Heated 4 gallons of cider to 180F for 30 minutes and added sugar and honey. Cooled to 70F with immersion chiller.Pitched yeast starter and added Yeast nutrient and yeast energizer. Have blowoff tube attached. Poured a pint of Graupel. It's very clean, not much carbonation after 1 day, but I wanted to taste it.
Added yeast starter (Nottingham and 1 qt cider) to 2 gallons cider. Added yeast nutrient and yeast energizer.
