Closer to 3.5 stars. The flavor of this recipe is very good, but Pacific Jade made this a little more bitter on the front end and contributes a stronger herbal flavor than expected. My efficiency increased from my 1st batch with an alcohol content 1.5% higher than expected at 8.4% abv. The nose is very pleasant and fruity and the taste is mild and sweet, but the 1st taste leaves a hot feeling to the back of my throat. This lessens with each swallow as I get used to the bitterness and abv. The 1st time I made this I substituted the Pacific Gem with Hull Melon and Mosaic, the flavor and aroma hops. I prefer that recipe, but I did secure some Pacific Gem and my next batch will be bittered with the intended hop.
