Was still running at 1.042 after getting enough for my boil so I got a 2.5 gallon parti gyle with a 1.029 OG. Efficiency was total crap, estimating at 56-57% even after anticipating a shitty 61%. The 19# of grain should have gotten me WAY higher with a decent efficiency. Need to figure out how to bring this up without being able to fly sparge. Forgot the FO addition of 2oz Citra and 1oz Mosaic so split this evenly among the two dry hop additions instead (1oz and 0.5oz, respectively), ...

Full volume, overnight, no-sparge mash. Total mash time ~8 hours (11pm - 7am), run-off and boil w/out sparge. This method was a definite time saver on brew day though. I think I definitely lost some efficiency w/out the sparge. Original kit OG was 1.048 but with the extra 1# base malt added I should have been higher but ended up slightly lower.

First AG batch. Strike temp was right but mash temp was too low. Added water to bring up temp but still holding pretty low at around 147-149. Did a 90 min mash to ensure conversion. Post-boil volume was a bit lower than hoped. Next time start with ~7.5 gal pre-boil. OG was a bit lower than expected at 1.051 (target 1.056). Pitched with US-05 (dry) at 58 degrees. Fermentation fridge set to 64.
