(Include any important notes from brew day until tasting)
Missed the fuck out of my target numbers. I shouldn't have targeted 75% efficiency in the first place, but ended up with 58%... WTF!!! Totally out of style for a Dobbelbock! Best I can hope for is a Robust or Baltic Porter.
Hit 5 gallons in fermenter dead on, but definitely had much less than 3/4 gal BK loss. Perhaps I boiled more vigorously than I thought...?
Other than missing the numbers, it was a very smooth brew day. Start to finish in ~4 hours. Cooled with plate chiller which definitely speeds up the process but seems to be only good with low hop beers due to propensity to clog.
