AIH Kit. crushed grains and oats together at 0.28inches setting. mash temp met was 149F after struggling to get an initial mash tun temp of 169F, then had 158F and added too much cold water.... Needed a strike water/tun temp of min 162, max of 169F. MUST remember to preheat the mash tun with 3 gal of 200F water!!! boiled 6.8 gal for 90min to increase OG, but had 5 gal in boil kettle and only 4gal to fermenter!! Probably could have done with less boil time since the SUGAR went in in the last ...
