Trying out Golden naked oats to see if I can pickup the flavour.
Different brands of Maris Otter seem to have different flavours - some more nutty, biscuit, honey, etc. Recommend Rahr/OiO to achieve a nutty, bready, biscuit flavour. The base malt will have a big impact on the final taste.
20.4 ltrs - Total Water 6.4 ltrs - 76 C Strike Water for Grains at 18 C. (Mash 68 C/60mins). Mash Volume approx 8.1 ltrs. 2.5 mash\grain ratio. 14 ltrs - 76 C Sparge Water. 17 lts - Pre Boil Volume.
Mash for one hour at 150F, boil for 90 mins. Add peanut butter flavour to taste at bottling.
