This beer's namesake is an amalgamation of the style of which it is brewed, Oktoberfest, and the most well known mythological sea creature The Loch Ness Monster. In Scottish folklore, the Loch Ness Monster or Nessie is said to be a creature that inhabits Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands.
