A wee heavy from the Highlands. Low bitterness with a smooth, sweet maltiness. Tones of caramel, coffee, smoke, citrus, herbs, earthy, and floral.
I've never made a Heather Ale before, so wanted to do something new as I get back into brewing again from a long break. I took 3 different "authentic-ish" recipes that I found online, and merged them into this one. To clarify, I am not claiming that this is an authentic recipe since I am putting hops into it.
