I recently spent some time in Belgium where I sampled multiple Trappist/Trappist-adjacent beers. There were a lot of great brews, but some of my favorites were the seasonal, lower alcohol, lighter beers (roughly these ranged from blonds to singles). In contrast to (most of) the dubbels and trippels, these beers seemed to be all malt and a slight bit hoppier.
