Great recipe mate - can I ask if you dry hop 'for 7 days' before pitching the yeast OR 'at 7 days' when racking? Will give it a go as my first all grain brew.

SingleSpeed would have transferred (racked) this beer to a secondary carboy when the yeast quit fermenting, usually within a week or when the beer reached his targeted FG (1.009). Dry hops would have been added to this secondary carboy and let float in the transferred beer for 7 days.

Ha, thanks Haybrews! That is correct. I actually just left it in the primary and dumped in the hops, about 1 week after pitching the yeast. Let them sit for 7 days and then I put the carboy in the fridge to cold crash.

Cheers fellas - can't wait to give it a whirl. Great hop selection.

Hey, I thought I was the only one who dropped dry hops into the primary!

the video looks like you got a 5 gal batch but recipe says 7 gal, so I think the efficiency is more like 65% not 91%

I watched the video on making this and it was great! My only question is the dry hop - did you skip it, or add it at a later date?

What's up YYC? Thanks for watching. I added the dry hops about 7-9 days after pitching the yeast. I just remove the airlock and dump in the pellets. I then cold crash about 5-6 days later for 48 hours before kegging. So pitch yeast, 8 days later add dry hops, 5 days later start cold crash, 2 days later keg or bottle.

Excellent - thanks SingleSpeed. As you can probably tell, i'm a newbie. I think I'll choose this recipe for my first shot at an all grain brew. It sounds delicious!
