Mash #1 Started at 10:00 Collected 23.5 liters wort Gravity 1.0509/12.6 brix after sparge with 7.5 liters. Done in 2 hours. Prep for #2: 20 mins Mash #2 Started at 12:20 Collected 31 liters wort Preboil gravity: Should read 1.133 SG/30.8 Brix. Did read 1.0866 SG/20.8 Brix Added 2kg DME. - Recalculate water use. Ended up with 29 liters post boil. - Boil off was approx 2 liters per 1.5 h, not 2.7 per 1 h. - Expect mash efficiency at about 65% Added another 2kg DME, to get to (estimated): OG 1.142 FG 1.032 Bitterness 78.0 IBU (tinseth) BG:GU 0.55 Alcohol 14.2% ABV WLP090 starter 1099 billion cells on day 10.
