Slightly darker than a Helles, not as dark as an Amber. This beer was intended to bring back memories of my younger days in Germany, and those luscious, rich lagers of the Frankish region of Bavaria.

Brewed 8/30/20 Andechs Helles yeast from Rob (Imperial Pilgrimage): 100ml of slurry that should have 200 billion cells. 1.6L starter with 6oz of DME should step it up to the 40-425b cell range. Starter on Friday night, brewed on Sunday evening. Mash pH was stubbornly high around 5.45, so I added more LA to the boil, and it dropped all the way down to 4.82. Something to keep an eye on.
