Attempt at a Belgian style single / pale using Saf-58 yeast and some Weyermann Abbey Malt, C/V and Special B . Base malts and Magnum Hops sourced from Lunar Brewing Co.
I tossed about a cup of smashed, boiled and frozen blueberries inside a muslin bag directly in the 5G keg - bam, that made this beer get much more fun to drink. It did clear up a bit sitting in keg @35F. The blueberries added a haze of course (and some small chunks). Still expressing that peppery estery taste of the T 58....giving it a Belgian-esque taste. Renamed AbbeyBlu.
It didnt get as clear as Id like..... been in a keg for a couple weeks. Tastes nice. Maybe it was crashing too early?? maybe its T58?? maybe I suck at making pretty looking pale ales!!
