Based on Landlord Tribute clone recipe from Gordon Strong's Modern Homebrew Recipes...Steele. Ideally using the new ESB yeast from Lallemand. Hops may change. Scale down to two gal for test batch - may use regular English yeast...UPDATE: Using the white labs London yeast.

Mash in @155; stepwise double to triple decoction to bring temp up to 170.

Sparge 20 min. Boil for longer (75-90 min.)

Ferment for 7 days, transfer and dry-hop; secondary for 10-12 days.

Notes:

Note: tasted on 12/31 when I racked it (1.026 mg) - I pitched a small amt. of british yeast - Nottingham, + dry hop 1/2 oz. Nugget...ANYway, tasted bready and hoppy then, less hoppy during 1/7 tasting. Grain seems to come through which is what I was shooting for...we shall see.
