Notes:

Moved from barrel 9/22/16. There was a white, flaky film floating atop the beer in the barrel, but I don't get a discernible off-flavor. We aimed for less whisky/barrel flavor than the last go-round, and we achieved that.

Notes:

Brewed 8/22/16 BRIX: 24 OG: 1.12 Transfer to barrel 9/12/16 BRIX: 12.6 ABV: 9.6% 2 oz coffee @ flameout. 1 package cacao, 4 vanilla beans in secondary for 1 week. Coffee came through better than last time, but still faint. Chocolate way more tolerable than last time, but maybe too light. Other flavors do get to shine through way more than last time.
