An american brown ale so thick and malty, one can easily fall into it and become mummified, forever preserved in their favorite beverage. NOTE, this recipe didn't originally call for the Brown Sugar...I had an issue with mash efficiency (likely due to using softened water by mistake), so I had to supplement with brown sugar. If you make this recipe, aim for 72% and nix the brown sugar,

Pitch Yeast Starter (use Wheat DME for Yeast Starter)

Add Clarity Ferm (clarifies beer and reduces gluten content)
3.
Ferment at 68F to 70F for 2 Weeks
4.
No need to rack to secondary
5.
Brew 2oz of Dark Roast Coffee add at flame out.

Notes:

Dark brown, clear, half inch creamy white head Malty, yeasty, nutty Coffee, molasses, hay Great mouthfeel...full bodied, great carbonation By far the best brown ale I've ever made and quite possibly the best beer I've ever made.
