Brew No.23 Do again. Nah. Though I didn’t get it right. But big on choc type dark malts, not my thing. MM kit. 6.5/10 - 7.1% Attenuation - 81% Too high ABV. Didn’t help. Mashed too high - 70C not 67C for whole hour. Good bold flavour. Bready. Recipe said dry hop twice, I did once. Recipe OG: 1.064 FG: 1.014 ABV 6.6% OG 1066. FG 1012. 7.1%

Special Instructions

1.
Take yeast out of fridge
2.
ChemSan Sanitiser. - 70ML - 35Lt Fermenter, taps, tube, air lock. (10ml per 5 litres)

Water to Mash kettle. 18Lt
4.
Water to Sparge Kettle 17Lt
5.
Camden tablets to Both - 4 to Mash, 3.7 to Sparge. (5 Tabs per 23Lt)
6.
AMS to both - 15.8ml to Mash Kettle - 15ml to Sparge Kettle (22ml per 25Lt)
7.
DWB to mash kettle only 9.4g (13g per 25Lt)

Set mash kettle to 74C

Add mash. Temperature 67C - 60 mins - Mash out 75C

Set sparge water temperature to 77C - NOW

Turn off mash kettle

Volaut

SLOWLY - Drain wort into bucket

Add sparge. Rest for 20 mins

Add to bucket - Discard mash
18.
Add total liquor back to mash kettle - Boil for 90 mins - Consider 75
19.
Boil tongs to use on the flame out hop spider. Also boil tea hop holder for Columbus.
20.
Boil Sealable hop spider for flame out hops.
21.
60 mins - Columbus 9g - Use tea hop holder.
22.
Turn off Kettle.
23.
Flame out - Columbus 25g. Citra 25g - Stand for 20 mins before cooling.
24.
Pitch yeast - (17C - 22C)
25.
Hydrometer - OG 1066
26.
Store fermenter. Do not go over 22C

16 Days - Dry hop 48g Citra - 23g Columbus - Boil tea hop holders.

Chemipro. 180g = 45Lt - Bottles. > All tubes. Fermenter taps. Air lock (4g = 1Lt)

ChemSan Sanitiser. 60ml = 30Lt - Tube. Caps. Scissors. Bottle machine. (20ml = 10Lt)

Chemiclean. 50g = 20Lt - Fermenter. (50g = 20Lt)

Sugar 80g - 150ml water - 5ml per bottle (based on 30 bottles)
