Don't know what runoff volume is. Started with 4.25 gallons of Mash/Strike water. Sparged with 4.7 gallons, but it wouldn't all fit in the boil kettle. saved it to the side until 5 minutes from end of boil, then added to the boil. Thermometer stopped working without us realizing it, so we chilled the work for extra time (probably 2 hours). We hope we didn't let anything into the wort to contaminate it.
