Tasting Notes (1)

FlattBrewing

Tasted on 10/17/2013 by FlattBrewing

Notes:

Clear, autumn color, with a beautiful red tint, almost to nice looking to drink. Malty with a hint of citrus up front. OMG!!! I think I've outdone myself once again. Satisfying Just what I was hoping for when I made the recipe... Clear, fall color, malty taste, with some good bitterness and a little hint of citrusy flavor up front. One for the books, IMHO!!!

I don't understand the flame out in the middle of your brew day scheduled for the hop additions.

You have hop addition s say at 60 min, 30 min, and 15 min, flameout would be at 0 min when you turn off the burner ie; the flame goes out. Then leave the hops in while cooling the wort down. Hope this explains it for you.

Looks like I goofed and forgot to enter also saw melenodian malt was wrong (fixed that) just entered 1oz for the 3 I forgot but honestly can't remember but back then I used less hops than now you can put 1-1-1 or 2-2-2 or 2-2-4 that's my usual additions for back then? Sorry about the goof and low mash temp is all in mouthfeel and thickness for me if I want a thick beer with good mouthfeel high mash if I want thinner drinking beer I go lower mash temp.
