First try at a lager. I had a chest freezer used as my fermentation chamber for a while. I used melanoidin malt and haven't tried decoction yet.

Used WAY too much de-foamer on this batch (caused a silicone slick on the surface). Will bypass (remove) as much as possible during secondary transfer.

Helles style with a nod to the 37th president, who legalized homebrewing. Beer ended up with a very high efficiency, so affected OG/FG (originally planned to be a 1.048/1.009 lighter beer). More of a festbier style in the end.
