Special Instructions
1.Toast the Oats at 300 degrees until golden brown. Be sure to keep an eye on them so they don't burn. Put the Oats into a brown paper bag and seal it. Keep Oats in paper bag for a few days (up to 2 weeks) so the volatile compounds mellow out.
2.Add the Maple Bacon Candi Syrup 5 min. before Flameout. You can also add this at High Krausen.
3.I add Pickling Lime to the strike water to match a Dublin Ireland water profile. Depending on your water profile you may not need to do this, but I find that it helps with my stouts.
