Mash Steps

No mash steps in this recipe

Special Instructions

1.
Brought 11 gallons of filtered tap water up to 176F
2.
Poured 8 gallons into mash tun, and added grains
3.
Mashed at 160F for appx. 80 minutes
4.
Batch sparged and drained to brew pot.
5.
Boiled, and added hop additions (60,30,10m).
6.
Cooled, and poured on to yeast (Safeale 05) cake from IPA.
7.
Manually aerated using brew paddle stirring back and forth for 5 minutes.

Notes:

Possibly too much Special B, flavor is a bit overwhelming. Cut back to 1/4-1/2 lb next time.
