Pre-Brew Day Prep: Flush GF and Chiller with water. Check its clean. Check I have all equipment ready to use Empty brew Fridge and Set to 9C Brew Day: Fill GF with 15.65L Water and Set to 62C Boil kettle for Yeast Starter - set 200ml aside to cool Empty Brew Fridge - Set to 9c MASH SCHEDULE; Mash in with 1.5 qt/lb at 145F (62C). Hold it for 20 min. Raise it to 158F (70C). Hold it for 30 min. Raise it to 168F (75C). Hold it for 10 min. 5.2-5.4 Mash pH Yeast x 2 Packs - Rehydrate once Mash is on (Don't let it sit for more than 1 hour). Boil water - set 200ml in jug to cool to 35-40C. Sprinkle yeast on top and leave for 15 mins covered. Then give it a swirl to mix it all together. Put in fridge to cool to pitching temperature (9c) Clarity Ferm - Pitch vial with yeast. Brulosophy Lager Method: Pitching Temp -9C - Attenuate to 50% (5 Days ish) Ramp Temp every 12 hours till it reaches 19C (Takes 10 Days roughly) 5 Days at 0-1C (Slowly ramp it down - Transfer to Secondary) Secondary FV - Yes, once lagering Water Profile - Tap water is fine once treated with Campden Tab. ---------------- Fermentation - Ramp up started at 1.025 ish - took 3-4 days to reach 20C where it stayed for at least 7 days 11/5/18 Started ramp down for lager stage -4c from 20C -> 16C Bottled on 28th May (Roughly 2 week lager)
