One of my first All Grain beers. This was given to me by a friend (Thanks Frank) who adopted it from a Surly Bender Clone. One of my staples. I have made this a few times now and change it a little each time. The original recipe (Surly) called for all of the specialty malts to be Simpsons (Chocolate = Simpson's Chocolate, Oat = Simpson's Golden Naked Oats, Crystal = Simpson's Medium). I found it hard to get these at my local homebrew supply, so I substituted for an equivalent SRM. Worked out great. Hope you like it! Let me know how yours turns out.
