Hi, it did get brewed with some additions of hops. Primary fermentation went for about 3 weeks. After tasting and realizing that the spice and ibus were way off the charts we did a secondary fermentation with cherry juice, dried cherries and raisins. For about 3 more weeks with some high activity. After tasting before bottling beer was a little more balances with fruit and not as dry. Although the star anise is way to strong and would probably omit it next time. it been bottled for about 2 weeks now and will be tasting at 4-6 weeks in hopes the beer will age into something great. Abv 9.2% only time will tell with this one.
