Notes:

Racked to Kegs. FG now at 1.010 so it finished just a touch more and Pete's says ABV is now 5.06%. Looks like 9.5 gal in the kegs? so maybe I was not as overboiled as I thought.

Notes:

Taste is consistent a little cloudier but will probably setttle some. OG 1.049 fg 1.011 = ABV 4.8 so when combined with the other batch should be aroune 4.9. 10 gal in 2nd so a little better yield on this batch.

Notes:

Racked to 2nd. taste is excellent. I think the new/additional orange did help some. flavor overall is very similar to the test batch. This is noticably cloudier but I think the test batch started that way and cleared up after kegging. I only have about 9.5 Gallons in the 2nd. So I may top up with a small amount of water when kegging if it looks noticeably short. I will also try to not boil the second batch quite so long and see if I can get a half gal extra in the 2nd for that batch.

Notes:

Impressed with the clarity considering the flaked oats and wheat in this. Could even be considered a flaw, but it is def a fantastic beer. Gentle Belgian Clove flavors, not much banana, orange is present but subtle. Ella asked for more orange flavor so I have a new option and detials are in the updated Mash steps. Also will use fresh ground whole coriander instead of pre-ground.

Notes:

OG 1.048, FG 1.009, ABV 4.91%, Color is golden straw, very clear, bright crisp flavor. basically no cloudiness from the oatmeal which is a bit odd but it is very nice in flavor the yeast is predominent with subtle spice and orange. I had a very small taste and will reassess after carbonated.
