well. this was a shitshow. our brewhouse effiency is 30% according to the calculator, i added 1 lb of DME and 4 cups of sugar. probably going to taste like dogshit, but i found some info on fixing the effiency so one day we can make really good beer.OG- 1.050
For water profile, added 3 oz of Acid Malt to grain bill, and added total of 6.5g of calcium chloride and gypsum to distilled water. Fermented first 3 days at 65 degrees, then bumped up to 68 degrees.
Pre Heated mash tun to 100 degrees F. Missed the initial mash temp (wanted 152, started at 147.8) to fix mash temp. We boiled 8 cups of water adding it to the mash tun to bring temperature up to 149 F. Since we added water to mash tun we subtracted it from the sparge water. Also we forgot to get OG before pitching yeast. took OG after, and it was 1.052 (First all grain brew we were all over the place). Color looks really good. Didn't get the full 5 gallons like we wanted. Hopefully next brew.
