Brew Session: Belly Flop IPA

Pre Heated mash tun to 100 degrees F. Missed the initial mash temp (wanted 152, started at 147.8) to fix mash temp. We boiled 8 cups of water adding it to the mash tun to bring temperature up to 149 F. Since we added water to mash tun we subtracted it from the sparge water. Also we forgot to get OG before pitching yeast. took OG after, and it was 1.052 (First all grain brew we were all over the place). Color looks really good. Didn't get the full 5 gallons like we wanted. Hopefully next brew.
