-worried about efficiency here...if we get 75% we're at OG 1.096. Going to assume lower though -- 70? I've been at 75% since adding acid malt. Not sure how much I want to add with a stout though. LHBS recommended about 3-4% -- I've gone with 3% and will assume 72% efficiency. -- recommended extending mash time from 1 hour kbs is >12%. This recipe is under 10% boosted grain bill to 20lb, assuming 72% eff, 75% attenuation 10.0% ABV

What Styles Are These Recipes?

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.

There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
