Similar to Bill Pierce's St. Chuck's Porter (recipe shown is his). I had to fudge a few things this time: I used all Centennial hops as did not have Willamette. I used the cake from a recent S-05 beer, so this won't have that lovely Scottish note that I really love. And lastly thought I had flaked barley but alas no, so added 1/2 lb wheat instead to provide the nice head that this beer is really known for.
This batch ended up no where near how it usually turns out with FG high at 1.018 and a very sweet finish. Since tastes like a sweet stout, it is a sweet stout ;) While this is a tasty beer, I will attempt again later and hope for the intended result.
