The first time that I made this, I braced myself for something horrible. I was surprised to find that it was not bad. The "beer" is dark and fizzy. The sweetness from the molasses ferments away and most of the flavor is from the hops. The beer will not win any awards in a contest due to the metallic iron taste that is left from the molasses. It is not terrible, but it is what it is. The beer is easy to make. It maybe somewhat of an acquired taste, but I enjoy it have made maybe five different one-gallon batches of the brew. I mix 12 of molasses with water to make a gallon and boil the water with a 1/4 oz of hops. Simple simple.
