All Grain Irish Red Ale homebrew recipe. This homebrew recipe uses the following ingredients: Maris Otter Pale - UK, Caramel/Crystal 40 - US, Caramel/Crystal 120 - US, Carafa II - DE, Flaked Barley - US, Goldings Hops, White Labs Irish Ale WLP004 Homebrew Yeast, Whirlfloc.
2.After enzymatic convo, raise temp to 168 then sparge @ 170
3.Ferment for 2 weeks at 66 degrees
4.Condition for 4 weeks
5.1 tsp calcium chloride to mash water (maltiness)

What was the maple for and how much did you use?

I am brewing this tomorrow so I don’t have an answer. I was hoping to gain some sweetness but after a discussion with my local brew shop we determined it would only add maple flavor. Jury is still out as to the wether or not we will include
