Wasn't sure what to expect with this one since it was my first lager, first beer using Galaxy hops and first beer using mushrooms. The beer has a very smooth entrance with strong fruity notes and finishes much more bitter. Certainly not my favorite, but refreshing and enjoyable.

I've always wanted to brew with mushrooms, how did this turn out ?

A few things here...(1) I have never brewed a Lager before and (2) I have never used Galaxy Hops. I ended up using 1oz of mushrooms per gallon of wort. The beer tastes great...it has a fruity front end and a bitter back end, and it certainly does NOT taste like mushrooms. Since I've never brewed a lager or used Galaxy hops I can't say what the effect, if any, the mushrooms have had on the beer. I'm definitely going to use them again, in larger quantities, because I believe the mustiness of a mushroom will lend itself to complimenting beer in some way.
