this is the first cut at a clone for Boulevard 80 acre hoppy wheat. I went with a 105 minute mash, no reason really except i was having lunch with 5 gallons of water, stirring only at the beginning and the end of the mash.. Started at 151 and ended at 149 only a two degree loss over almost 2 hours. I sparged with about 2.75 gallons of 170 degree water into my 5 gallon plactic bucket and dunked a few times and strirred very well, left to rest for 15 minutes, stirred again and then drained and pressed the wort out of the grain. Boiled for 90 minutes to end up with 5.5 gallons. I was very close perhaps a pint heavy and had an OG of 1.056. Will Dry hop in about 7 days. Dry hopped with 2oz each of cascade and nelson sauvin hops. will bottle 01/26/13 Bottled today 1.25.13 , the hydro sample was pretty great with a lot of hop flavor coming though FG of 1.010 Can't wait until it's carbed and ready to drink. Baking Soda 2 grams .45 tsp Gypsum 1 grams .25 tsp Calcium Chloride 5 grams 1.47 tsp Epsom Salts 4 grams .89 tsp
