Converted from an all-grain Tribute clone recipe. Also going to try Munich LME in place of the steeped grains and sugar. 12/11/2016 : Tweaked recipe to get better ratio of fermentables. 1st brew session, I used 6lb of Maris Otter Extract, not 5.2lb. Oops.

Notes:

Straight out of fermenter. Yeast cake still sitting on top. First time I noticed CO2 bubbles around the hydrometer (spun it), so CO2 in solution naturally. Clarity is excellent. Beer is crystal clear underneath yeast cake. Aroma has that lovely English straw note to it. No hops prominent. Mouth feel is good. Malt not heavy (as it was previously). Got a little carbonation so not totally flat. Flavor. Wonderful. Nice light bittering. Overall. Wow! Very happy. Just expected a little more hop prominence from the late additions, hence not 5 stars.

Notes:

Definitely more malt than desired (not surprised due to using 6lb not 5.2 lb Maris Otter extract). Hop flavor slightly subdued (due to malt heavyness) but the hop flavor/aroma profile good. Darker than the real real (no surprise due to extra malt and use of extract). Tried Tribute in can as comparison. Had a honey like flavor up front, so can not as good as draft.

Notes:

Direct from fermenter prior to kegging. Lovely straw color, nice and clear. Good English Bitter aroma. You can taste the extra alcohol a bit, but otherwise a nice flavor profile. Hops give nice bitter bite without being overpowering. A little heavier than desired on the malt. Cannot wait to compare with the real deal (in cans).
