Brewing for Brew United 2016, and other comps. 25% Northdown or Target Hops. >20% Maris Otter Pale Ale >20% Golden Promise, Optic, or pearl Barley(Wheat malt or Rye Malt). >5% UK Crystal. Single UK Yeast Strain. Mashed 1 hr, collected 2.5 gal. Collected a total of 6.5 gal of wert. Fern cap at boil start. Pre oil gravity 1.031. At 15 min added .5 north down hops and chiller. OG 1.034, chilled wert to 65 in fermintation chamber, pitched 1L yeast starter. • Won 1st place in Byggvir brew cup competition for British style.
