Special Instructions

1.
Mash grains 150 deg. F 75 minutes; rest for 20 minutes.
2.
I added Whirlfloc tab instead of Irish Moss at 15 min.
3.
Special Adds: Cocoa Spice black tea (black tea,cocoa nips chiles), Harvest Spice, Good Earth Chai (incl. cardamon)tea (14 bags ttl) in spirit of Papazian's Roastaroma Brown Ale.
4.
Special Sahti-esque Sparge: sparged over bed of dried old growth redwood tips (new growth), along with dried spruce tips.
5.
Filter Sparge after Flameout: added few more redwood tips to bed, moved teabag to filter, then cooled wort.
6.
Added 8 oz. dry lactose (milk sugar) last 15 min. boil. Ingredient not in other stuff...
