Mash Steps
No mash steps in this recipe
Special Instructions
1.Collect 5 gallons of strike water. Heat to 170 degrees.
2.Mash in at 154 degrees. Cover and sit for 1 hour.
3.Collect 5 gallons of water in hot liquor tank at 172 degrees. Start Lauter.
4.Slowly collect draff in pitcher. Recycle back into mash tun until wart is clear.
5.Sparge at 1 quart of wart per minute. Should take around 20-30 minutes.
6.Will need 6.5 gallon of wart for boil.
7.Check gravity.
8.Boil 90 minutes. Follow hop additions.
9.Whirpool for five minutes. Let settle for five minutes.
10.Chill to 70 degrees. Transfer to carboy.
11.After fermentation is complete transfer to secondary for two days.
12.Cold crash for at least two days. Rack into keg for five day CO2 starting at 15 psi.
