Will take 2 L starter of Darkness. Needs cooling for 72-96 hours. Split 20 L for RIS to be dry hopped and 10 L for RIS with PB, no dry hopping.

Special Instructions

1.
Boil barley flakes in 5 L H2O
2.
Heat 15L H2O @50C
3.
Add boiling water to a mash temp of 55C (ca 5.2L boiling water), protein rest 15 min
4.
Pull 33% decoction, heat to conversion x 45 minutes (66C), then boil x 45 minutes
5.
Pull 33% Decoction, heat to conversion x 45 minutes @72C, then boil x 30 minutes
6.
Add 8L boiling water for washout temp 78 C
7.
Cold steep roast malts @ 20C x 3 hours in 2L H2O, add to mash tun right before sparge.
8.
Sparge with 15L H2O @78C, adjust mash pH.
9.
PB2 and cocoa Nibs go in for last 30 minutes boil
10.
nutrient goes in @ last 10 minutes
11.
Whirlpool to sediment out PB2 and cocoa nibs.
