Brew No.14 Do again. No. 5/10 - MM kit. 4.2% Not my favourite style of beer, but ok. Recipe OG 1050. FG 1014. 4.7% OG 1044. Not as high as recipe. But added 2 litres of water from kettle early to boil. FG 1012. OG 1044. FG 1012. 4.2% Attenuation - 72%

Special Instructions

Take yeast out of fridge

ChemSan Sanitiser (10ml per 5 litres) (70ML - 35Lt) - Fermenter, tubes, air lock.
3.
Water to Mash kettle. 14Lt
4.
Water to Sparge Kettle 17Lt
5.
Camden tablets to Both - 3 to Mash, 3.7 to Sparge. (5 Tabs per 23Lt)
6.
AMS to both - 12.3ml to Mash Kettle - 15ml to Sparge Kettle (22ml per 25Lt)
7.
DWB to mash kettle only 7.3g (13g per 25Lt)

Set mash kettle to 70C

Add mash bag.

Add mash. Temperature to 65C - Mash for 60 mins. Mash out 75C 10 mins = 70 mins

Set sparge water temperature to 77C

Turn off mash kettle

Volaut

Drain wort into bucket

Add sparge
18.
Leave for 20 mins to rest

Add this sparge liquor to wort - Discard mash
20.
Add total liquor back into mash kettle - Boil for 90 mins

Add hop spider

90 mins - 12g Centennial
23.
30 mins - 18g hops Willamette
24.
85 mins - 30g hops Willamette
25.
Turn off Kettle.
26.
Cool wort to yeast pitch 18/19C
27.
Empty pot. Pull Fermenter handle TIGHTLY closed!

Hydrometer test - https://www.brewersfriend.com/abv-calculator

Hydrometer target - OG 1044

Store fermenter at 20C

Chemipro. Warm Water (4g/1Lr) (140g - 35Lt) Bottles. Syphon Tube and tap.

Clean Mash tun to fermenter tube. Spare fermentation drub container. Black stoppers. Airlock.

Sugar - 15Lt beer/30 bottles - 80g sugar - 150ml water - 5ml per bottle

ChemSan Sanitiser (30ML - 15Lt) (60ml per 30Lt) - Syphon Tube & tap, caps, bottle machine.
