brewed on 07/04/2022. Added chocolate malt at 15min mark in mash. 5.25G AW mash. 1.25G AW, 2.5G RO sparge. Lost about 0.5G at end of sparge, need to increase sparge by 0.5G to account for loss. Also, efficiency dropped by 5% when increasing to 10lbs. Possibly do two sparges, over collect by 2 gallons and use the Digiboil. Possibly better efficiency, but will lose 1G at end, so it may be a wash. Definitely need to improve starter and o2 game, very slow start to fermentation, also very slow primary fermentation. Also, need to better estimate evaporation rate on the gf and digiboil, still somewhat variable.. also need to lower grain mill to 0.034" gap and make sure both sides are at this limit.
