Started heating about 20L water for brew at 11:30AM Jan 17, 2021. Cloudy no rain slightly breezy.
Mixed rice hulls with grains. Plan to add dme after mash during external sparge while level is low. Hops are ready. No extra additives, except a dash of amylase. Not using towel coozy because it hasn't been. Leaned from last use. Will strike a bit higher in lieu of towel.

Data point: 138F at 12:50PM heated for five minutes and stirred well. Added another half tsp amylase. Temp railing: 147F at 12:55PM
