Special Instructions

1.
Lightly toast oats in oven, spread out thinly across cookie sheet(s). For mash.
2.
Toast coconut in oven, spread out thinly across cookie sheet(s). For primary fermenter.
3.
Caramalize brown sugar maximally wthout burning. For late boil.
4.
Brew oak tea from toasted oak chips to taste. Add when kegging.
5.
Mash at 154?F until 140?F or up to 120 minutes
6.
Prior to end of boil, slowly add brown sugar and lactose.
7.
Add Brewer's Best flavorings at flameout. Cover quickly to lock in aromatics.
8.
Add coconut during primary fermentation; add oak tea during kegging.
9.
OG = 1.093, FG = 1.023, ABV = 9.0%
10.
Chocolate milk stout with toasted coconut, toasted marshmallow, toasted oats, toasted oak, & toast.
