No problem Malestrom. It seems that a multi-step mash is a must for this recipe. Based on what I've read, this 3-step mash is required, with the initial 43 degrees bringing out the 4VG to give the classic clove flavours

Hi again! Have brewed today and had a blast. I landed at an OG of 1.056 which is quite arguably lower than yours, might have to do with to little sparging. Gonna ferment now for 2 weeks and bottleferment for another 2, so I'll update once that is done!

I only got around to brewing it today myself. My OG was 1060, lower than I was expecting. I’m thinking I had too much spare water and increased the volume too much. Depending on the FG, i am thinking it’ll still be a decent beer. I’ll see in a month!

Landed on an ABV of 4.9%. Tastes well!

Mine came in at 6.0% ABV. Just bottled ystr so I’ll give it a few weeks before putting it to the taste test!
