Special Instructions
1.Make a huge yeast starter days before on stir plate.
2.Soak oak cubes in makers mark for one month prior to brewing or until they sink and put directly into secondary for 3 wks. Do not put in bourbon. Too oaky.
3.Add vanilla/bourbon in bottling bucket or keg.
4.I use a herms system and recirculate for 90 minutes for this brew.
5.Boil the first sparge runnings 3 qts to a pint and add to boil. Don't scortch.
6.Ferment at 55 degrees for 3 wks. I use a large chest freezer with a temp controller.
