Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Steep the malts at 165F for 30 minutes.
2.
Remove the malts and bring the wort to a boil.
3.
Add the DME when the wort starts to boil and bring it back to boil.
4.
Add the Northern Brewer hops for 45 minutes.
5.
At the 45 minute mark remove the hops bag. Put the Whirlfloc tablet in the wort, and put the wort chiller into the boiling wort.
6.
At the 50 minute mark add the Cascade and Chinook hops.
7.
At the end of 60 minutes remove the hops bag.
8.
Rapidly cool the wort down to 65F.
9.
Add the yeast and aerate for 5 minutes.
10.
Let ferment for two or three weeks. (This time I will probably do a secondary ferment).
