Did you taste any tannins if the oak cubes were put in the boil?

I'm brewing this today so I won't know for about a year. I couldn't find oak cubes at my LHBS, but found french oak medium toast wood chips so I'm going to add them directly to the fermenter instead after soaking them separately for an hour per instructions.
