Huell melon isn't a stand-alone NEIPA hop based on this beer. It's too subtle and more traditional tasting. Go for more contemporary, fruit-forward hops.
1/10/2018 1:44:39 PMContrary to what I said previously, the Huell ended up coming through way more after a little age. At maybe the 2-week mark after moving to the serving keg, there's a distinct melon flavor that's tasty. I still wouldn't use it as a stand-alone in a NEIPA, but I could see it pairing well with another hop for this style or being used in a different style for accent flavor.
