Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Steep Specialty grains in 1-2 gallons of water at 150? x 30 minutes
2.
Add 2.5-3.0 gallons of water and bring to a boil
3.
Remove from heat and add 1lb of Dextrose
4.
Return to heat and add .5oz of Columbus hops
5.
@ 45 min boil time, remove from heat and add malt extract
6.
return to heat and boil, add .5oz of Columbus hops
7.
HOPSTAND: remove heat and add 1oz of Falconer's Flight hops. Let stand uncovered for 15 minutes
8.
Chill wort to 70?
9.
Put wort in sanitized primary fermenter and oxygenate
10.
Pitch yeast and let stand x 1 week in primary fermenter
11.
Transfer to secondary fermenter after 1 week and add dry hops (Falconer's Flight Centennial and Columbus)
12.
After 1 week in secondary fermenter, add priming dextrose (.5lb) and bottle.
