This is a very good beer. Tastes like SNS. One of my favorites. I labelled it as Cal Brown the first run (short bottle, red lid, red label). Should re-name it as a Black Angus Stout, Black Dirt Stout or something similar and make a label for it. Black label with white lettering. Background a black Angus steer or a horse drawn plow.

Mash Steps

Special Instructions
1.Heat 16 qt strike water to 171F, add with grain to mash tun, stir to equilibrate temp., leave uncovered to mash temp of 154F, then cover for 60 minute sacharification rest.
2.Collect and measure first wort while heating 4.75 gal (19 qt) strike water.
3.Batch or fly sparge until a total of 6.75 gallon of wort is collected
4.Ferment in primary 7 days and secondary for 14 at 68-70F.
5.Prime with 4 oz corn sugar, bottle and carbonate/age 10-14 days at 70F
6.Boil wort for 60 minutes adding hops according to regimen above
7.Add Whirlfloc tablet and wort chiller at 15 minutes
